Sunday Was a Stellar Day for a Festival

The __ annual Johns Creek Festival got off to a soggy start on Saturday but Sunday turned out to be a bright sunny day with just a hint of autumn in the air.

A steady stream of cars made their way onto the festival grounds and by mid afternoon was filling up fast.

Along with a good selection of arts and crafts booths, was a wide variety of food vendors, bouncing ____ and a line up of live entertainment.

And now in its second year, the Festival Dog Parade brought 25 pooches and their owners - the dogs, and many of the owners - were decked out in an array of costumes.

City Clerk Joanie Jones was the pet parade MC and three judges Karen Edge (Johns Creek Volunteer of the Year), Rebecca a student and member of the National Honor Society and Nora Hansen, with Student Leadership, evaluated the entrants on a variety of categories including best costume.
