• Clayton County Jailer Tased Man 6 Times While He Lay on Floor Obeying Orders (thegeorgiasun.com) — A former corrections officer at the Clayton County Jail in Jonesboro has pleaded guilty to using excessive force on a detainee who was lying on the floor and following orders. Federal officials say surveillance and body camera footage show the man was tased multiple times during the May 2024 incident, and the officer now faces sentencing in March 2026 under federal guidelines.
