City Commissions Recognition Plaque for Young Vets
A plaque will acknowledge the military service of recent graduates of North Cobb and Kennesaw Mountain High Schools and North Cobb and Mount Paran Christian Schools.

The Mayor and Council, the Kennesaw Business Association, Kennesaw Optimist Club and American Legion Post 304 presented donation checks earmarked for the creation of a plaque that will acknowledge the military service of recent Kennesaw high school graduates.
The Students’ Military Service Appreciation Plaque project was recommended by the city’s Military and Veterans Affairs Committee and was approved during a previous Council meeting.
It will include graduates of North Cobb and Kennesaw Mountain High Schools and North Cobb and Mount Paran Christian Schools.

The plaque will be displayed at the Ben Robertson Community Center. It will be updated annually with the names of graduating seniors who have completed basic training in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard.
