Lawrenceville Welcomes New Wine and Beer Shop to the Downtown Square

Lawrenceville, Georgia (Gwinnett/Metro Atlanta) – April 5, 2013 – Block One Seventy Eight - in partnership with the Lawrenceville Tourism and Trade Association (LTTA) - announces its opening on the Historic Downtown Square. Located at 178 East Crogan St, Lawrenceville, GA 30046, Block One Seventy-Eight offers fine wine and craft beers specializing in smaller production, harder to find gems from around the globe. They offer the unique opportunity to enjoy both by the glass or bottle in their cellar-like ambiance or in the beautiful outdoor butterfly garden, and then purchase bottles to take home.

“We truly care much more about what’s in the bottle than the popularity of the label on the outside,” said owner Bob Johnson.

“Block 178 adds to the flavor of original businesses that Lawrenceville desires along the Downtown Square,” said Mayor Judy Jordan Johnson. “We are excited to have them here and thank them for choosing Lawrenceville!”

Block One Seventy-Eight provides customers with a unique shopping experience.

“We wanted to create the ambiance and experience of being in a friend’s private cellar rather than a typical retail wine and beer shop. When you include the adjoining outdoor butterfly garden, we feel we have the most unique environment in the Atlantaarea,” said co-owner Bob Johnson
