• Atlanta's ‘Christkindl' market sees record number of attendees after move to Lawrenceville (atlantanewsfirst.com) — Lawrenceville is hosting the relocated Atlanta Christkindl market on the Lawrenceville Lawn, drawing more than 200,000 visitors and giving downtown shops a major holiday boost. Vendors and city officials say the free, German-inspired market, open through 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve, has far outpaced past Buckhead attendance and introduced many newcomers to local businesses and amenities.
   

• Inmates escape DeKalb County Jail: 2 more charged after capture (wsbtv.com) — Three violent inmates who escaped the DeKalb County Jail were captured in Miami, and two people accused of helping them now face charges. One of the inmates, already serving a life sentence, previously admitted to a brutal 2024 crime against a Lawrenceville couple he met through a dating app, underscoring the regional impact of his escape and recapture.
