Buford Man Shot In His Garage, Dies At Hospital: Police
Sukkee Hong, 49, died in a local hospital Friday night after getting shot in his garage as he got out of his car, say Gwinnett police.

BUFORD, GA — The Gwinnett County police are investigating the death Friday night, Oct. 4, of a Buford-area man who was shot by unknown assailants in his garage, according to a police report. Members of his family called 911 after they found Sukkee Hong, 49, unresponsive on the floor of the garage, at his home in the 5800 block of Kendrix Ridge Drive on the outskirts of Buford.
Personnel from the Gwinnett Fire Department responded and found that Hong was suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died, the police said.
On Monday, the police said that Hong was the owner of a check-cashing store in Lithonia, "so detectives are looking into the possibility that this incident could be related to his business."

The detectives believe that Hong "was shot by an unknown number of suspects" Friday night as he got out of his car,the report added. They were trying to find out whether anything was stolen from him.
