Woman Missing After Caretaker Blocked Visits: Gwinnett Police
The daughter of Linda Kimble, 59, told Gwinnett police that a home health care worker blocked her from seeing her mother, who's missing.
SNELLVILLE, GA — The Gwinnett County police are asking the public for tips to locate a woman who went missing after being placed in the care of a home health care worker. Linda Kimble, 59, was discharged in August from Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, but required long-term care, according to a police statement.
Her daughter transferred her to the care of Kishia Mitchell, identified by police as a 50-year-old health care worker. The daughter recently told police that she was worried about her mother because Mitchell refused to allow her to visit her.
TV station Fox5 Atlanta reported Monday that Kimble had been treated at the hospital for dementia. A police spokeswoman told Fox5 that Mitchell told an officer that she did not know of Kimble's whereabouts, and that she was no longer responsible for her.

The last known location of the home to which Kimble was transferred is a vacant property, the police said last week.
The daughter, Richetta Henderson, led two carloads of relatives up to Gwinnett County from central Georgia to canvass local hospitals and care homes, putting up fliers with Kimble's photo, Fox5 Atlanta reported.

Henderson lives in Culloden, a small town west of Macon, according to the police.
Mitchell has an active warrant for a probation violation, but has not been charged with any crime in relation to this missing person case, the police said.
"At this time, we don’t have any evidence to suggest Linda is in danger, but we would like to conduct a welfare check on her to make sure her needs are being met," the police said.
Linda Kimble is described by police as a black woman with black hair and brown eyes, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds.
