Man Hospitalized After Hit-And-Run, Police Seek Public's Help

A Lawrenceville man was hospitalized Wednesday after a hit-and-run accident and police are seeking help to identify the driver.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA – The Gwinnett County Police Department needs the public’s help in identifying the person involved in a pedestrian hit and run accident. On Wednesday, Jan. 16, officers assigned to the Central Precinct were dispatched to the call around 6 a.m.

According to the initial investigation at the scene, Nathan Hayes, 32, of Lawrenceville, was crossing North Brown Road in the crosswalk when he was hit by a white SUV who was making a left-turn. The SUV may be a larger model like a Yukon, Tahoe or 4Runner. There may be damage to the front of the vehicle.

Hayes was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
