Truth’s Community Clinic Awarded Grant From Jackson EMC

The Gwinnett County clinic will use grant money for medical testing, medications and referrals.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA. — Truth’s Community Clinic, a Lawrenceville, non-profit healthcare organization, was recently awarded a $15,000 grant from the Jackson EMC Foundation. The grant will be used to fund diagnostic testing and prescription medications and to pay for referrals to medical specialists.

Truth’s Community Clinic provides non-emergency primary care, including medical, dental and
pharmaceutical services, to low-income families in the east Gwinnett County area. Patients with
insurance or Medicaid are not accepted. Although healthcare services at the clinic are free, a $20
donation is suggested to help defray expenses.

“This funding will go a long way toward furthering our mission of healing,” said Scarlett Rigsby,
clinic director. “Over the years, the Jackson EMC Foundation has generously supported our
efforts to provide medical and dental services to a vulnerable patient population in Gwinnett
County. We are grateful to them for investing in the health of our community and for providing a
safety net for those people who otherwise would not be able to obtain quality care.”
