• Son dies rescuing dog from burning Gwinnett home after saving mom (wsbtv.com) — A Gwinnett County man died after rescuing his mother from their burning home on Sandra Drive, then going back inside to try to save the family dog. A Lilburn police officer on the scene suffered minor injuries, while the American Red Cross is helping displaced residents as investigators work to determine what caused the fire.
