  1. An additional $23.7 million has been allocated for the Rowen project by the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners. The additional funding is for the creation of a two-mile stretch of street which will lead from Route 316 to the development. Local and state officials will break ground on the new facet of the project on Friday. (Subscription: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
  2. A Gwinnett County fugitive sex offender has been captured after he went into hiding five years ago. Brad Hatter was captured by Mexican authorities on Saturday where he was working as a teacher. Hatter was convicted of attempting to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity in 2007. He was released from prison in September 2017 and stopped answering his probation officer in January 2018.   3. Elijah DeWitt, 17, was shot to death outside a Gwinnett County Dave & Buster's on Oct. 5. Text messages obtained in the investigation reveal the shooting was a surprise attack because suspects Kemare Bryan and Chandler Richardson – both 19 – were looking for people to rob when they recognized DeWitt from a previous encounter. DeWitt tried to fight them off but Bryan pulled out a gun and shot him in the chest. (WSB Radio)
  4. The Loganville City Council will hold a meeting and voting session at City Hall on Thursday, Dec. 8. The council held a work session yesterday in which annexations and rezoning discussions were on the agenda. The full agenda from the work session can be found at the link. (Monroe Local News)
