Armed Robbery Suspects Assault Victim, Steal $3000 Cash

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA —Gwinnett Police detectives need the public’s help in identifying two men in an armed robbery.

On Aug. 3 the victim came home around 11:30 p.m. As he turned into his driveway, the suspects’ vehicle approaches from the cul-de-sac just past his house. The suspect vehicle continues past the victim’s house and stops under a tree that blocked the street light. When the victim exits his vehicle he is attacked by the suspects and struck in the face and head with the butt of a handgun. The victim fought off the men and gave chase when they fled but stopped when one of the men pointed a gun at the victim. The suspects were able to get away with approximately $3,000 in cash.

One man is described as wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, white basketball shoes and a handgun. The other man is described as wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black shoes. The men's vehicle is described as an older four-door dark colored vehicle, possibly a Buick, with silver/chrome rims, according to police.
