Back to School: Last Week of Summer Break for Gwinnett Students
Here's a quick snapshot of important dates in 2013-14 for Gwinnett County Public Schools.
Back to School is in season and the clock is ticking on summer vacation for students all over Gwinnett County.
This time next week, students will be back in classrooms as the 2013-14 academic year begins for Gwinnett County Schools. Here is a link to the school calendar.
Here are five things to know about the school calendar:
1. Aug. 7: First Day of School (It's OK to be a little jealous of Walton County next door, which opens Aug. 14).
2. Nov. 25-29: Thanksgiving Break. Hey kids, your parents only got Thursday and Friday off when they were your age.
3. Dec. 23-Jan. 6: Winter Break. Wow. Includes three weekends!
4. April 7-11: Spring Break. It will feel like longer than that if your break includes a road trip to Orlando.
5. May 21: Last day of school. That's if a snow day doesn't come into play.
