LOGANVILLE, GA — A 10-year-old girl died in a house fire in Loganville on Sunday morning, according to police.

The fire occurred just before 5 a.m. in the 4400 block of Beaver Road SW. Two children and an adult were outside the house when firefighters arrived, and two children were missing and believed to have been inside the house — a 10-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy.

The boy was found away from the house around 9 a.m., but the girl's body was found in the house after the fire was put out, along with two cats, according to authorities.

Seven people lived in the house, but only five were there when the fire broke out.

Police are investigating the girl's death as a homicide, and Gwinnett Fire Department investigators ruled the fire an arson and said it was intentionally set by a sibling, according to a report from CBS 46.
