Computers at DDS Were Down Again on Thursday Morning

The computers were down for much of the day Monday. A spokesperson said the computers were in the process of coming back on line.

A spokesperson with the Georgia Department of Driver Services confirmed that computers were down again on Thursday morning, but said the computers were beginning to come back on line by 10:15 a.m.

According to MyFoxphilly, computer problems at the DDS offices in more than 60 locations statewide, including Gwinnett, on Monday resulted in many people being turned away. The glitch would not allow for any payments to be accepted so services could not be provided.

According to a DDS spokesperson, it is the result of routine problems that can occur when dealing with large computer programs.
