Road Construction Projects in Gwinnett This Week

There's good news and not-so-good news in this week's Road Closures Report.

First the good news. The Gwinnett Department of Transportation removed six projects off the weekly report (see below).

The not-so-good? Three projects were added, including two in the Lawrenceville area.

Lawrenceville

• Luther Way from Howard Way to Maude Way will close July 22 for one month for drainage repairs. The detour route will be Luther Way to Howard Way to Maude Way to Luther Way and the reverse. For further information contact the Department of Water Resources at 678.376.6961.
• Steve Court from Township Drive to Sisters Court is closed until mid-August for drainage improvements.  The detour route will be Steve Court to Township Drive to Omie Way to Sisters Court to Steve Court and the reverse. For further information contact the Department of Water Resources at 678.376.6926.

Peachtree Corners

• SR 141/Peachtree Parkway from Triangle Parkway to East Jones Bridge Road will require  intermittent lane closures beginning July 29 through August for roadway improvements. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.

Removed from the list

• Buford: Rock Springs Road from Bluffton Road to Pine Log Way, which had been closed for improvements.
• Lawrenceville: Azalea Drive north of Braselton Highway, which had culvert replacement. 
• Lawrenceville: Chandler Road south of Bowman Road intersection, which needed drainage improvements.
• Norcross: Jimmy Carter Boulevard at Singleton Road, which needed roadway and pedestrian improvements.
• Peachtree Corners: Peachtree Industrial Boulevard at Technology Parkway, which had roadway improvements.
• Snellville: Highpoint Road south of Holly Brook Road, which needed culvert replacement.
