Couple Told Bogus Cancer Story in Home-Repair Scam: 1 Year Ago in Loganville, Grayson

Police say a husband and wife used a sob story about cancer in a home-repair scheme that stole from more than a dozen victims in Gwinnett County.

WSB-TV reported 17 victims have been identified by Snellville and Gwinnett County police.

Sandra and Norman Little, of Snellville, have been charged with multiple offenses, according to jail records.

Police say the couple took money from homeowners, promising to do repairs that were never finished. They reportedly played on their victims’ heart strings with a story that the wife was battling cancer. Police said the story was untrue.

Norman Little faces 12 counts theft of pay for property improvements, four counts of operating without a business license, three counts of theft by deception, two counts of obstruction of an officer, and single counts of escape, theft by taking and theft by conversion. He also is being held for a warrant in Forsyth County.
