Fallen Officer Toney To Be Honored At Memorial Day Ceremony
Guests are invited to attend the ceremony to honor Officer Toney and other fallen heroes who have sacrificed their lives.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA -- Gwinnett County officials will pay tribute to Gwinnett County Police Officer Antwan DeArvis Toney during the 16th annual Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 27 at 1 p.m. at the Gwinnett Fallen Heroes Memorial in Lawrenceville.
Toney, who was six days away from celebrating his third anniversary with the Gwinnett County Police Department, was killed in the line of duty Oct. 20, 2018.
Guests are invited to attend the ceremony to honor Officer Toney and other fallen heroes who have sacrificed their lives to protect our nation and our communities.

The keynote address will be given by retired Army Col. Steve Pitt, Commandant of Cadets for Georgia Military College, Milledgeville campus. Other officials scheduled to speak include District 1 Commissioner Jace Brooks and County Administrator Glenn Stephens. Public safety honor guards will also participate in the ceremony.
The Memorial Day ceremony will be televised on TV Gwinnett, the Countyβs local government access cable channel. TV Gwinnett programming is also available streaming and on demand at www.tvgwinnett.com.

The Gwinnett Fallen Heroes Memorial, located on the grounds of the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, 75 Langley Drive in Lawrenceville, honors all Gwinnett residents who died in the line of duty in military or public service. The memorial opened in 2003 and was built with funds from private donations and Gwinnett County government. For additional information about the memorial, visit www.gwinnettfallenheroes.com.
