- Loganville Police Department and LPD Accident Investigations Unit are investigating the death of a 53-year-old woman. On Wednesday, Sep. 14, Monica Boti was struck by a car in a local Walmart parking lot. She was reportedly transferred to the hospital with serious injuries and later died. (WSB TV)
- According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, overdose deaths due to drugs mixed with fentanyl are on the rise. A Gwinnett County church, in nearby Snellville, is trying to provide help and hope to the community. Harold Savage, the minister at Snellville Church of Christ, said, "We're all in this together. We all have things we're working through. No family is immune from this." (WSB TV)
- At the 2022 edition of the Double Trouble Academy event over the weekend, Grayson High School freshman Kayden Allen created a stir in the recruiting world. As a class of 2026 shooting guard, he already has an offer from in-state Georgia (UGA) and other programs. (UGA Rivals)
- On Friday, Sep. 16, the Dayton Flyers, of the University of Dayton of Dayton, offered a scholarship to Gicarri Harris. Harris is a 6-foot-4 guard and a junior at Grayson High School in Loganville. According to the 247Sports.com ranking, he ranks 122nd in the class of 2024. (Dayton Daily News)
- Kylan Fox is a Tight End/Edge in the class of 2024 at Grayson High School in Loganville. He is a headliner, standout, and "one of the hottest names on the recruiting trail" for the class of 2024. He ranks as a top-160 player nationally, according to the 247 Composite Rankings. (Dawgs Daily)
