Fire Guts Loganville Hospice, Residents Evacuate Safely
A Sunday-after fire destroyed the Carrington Personal Care Home on Hodges Road in Loganville. All residents and staff escaped safely.
LOGANVILLE, GA — A personal-care home in Loganville was gutted by fire Sunday after a fire started on its outside patio.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that when crews arrived at 3 p.m., all nine residents and two employees had evacuated the building safely. The facility director later made arrangements to lodge the residents elsewhere.
The Carrington Personal Care Home on Hodges Street offers assisted living and end-of-life hospice care, according to a page maintained by Aging Choices. The building had previously housed a Montessori school.
