Graft Restaurant In Grayson Supporting Local Farmers
Graft, a restaurant from Grayson, was one of the participants at the Taste of the Market in Monroe on Aug. 10.
Visitors to the Taste of the Market in Monroe, Ga. on Aug. 10, 2013, were able to get a taste of locally grown produce, prepared the Graft way.
Graft, which opened in Grayson in 2012, was voted one of the tope new restaurants to open in the Metro Atlanta area. When AJC Food blogsΒ came out earlier this year, Graft was No. 5 on the list.
According to Ashley Clemence, who co-owns the restaurant with her husband, Seth, the restaurant is committed to using local farm produce in the restaurant. Β At the Taste of Monroe, the dish prepared by Graft was Buffalo shank and creamed corn, with blueberries. The buffalo shank was supplied by Carrell Farms, Inc. in Monroe, that has a regular stand at the Monroe Farmers Market. David Carrell said many of the visitors to the Taste of the Market stopped by his stand to tell him that the dish prepared by Graft was definitely one of the tastiest.
