- Two people, including an 11-year-old, were killed in a domestic dispute in Winder on Monday evening. Police were called to the scene after a neighbor reported gunshots from Celestial Run. Leonard Ahearn, 59, got into a heated argument with 34-year-old Rachel Hollifeld. He allegedly shot Hollifeld in the hands, then shot 11-year-old Angelique Ahearn before turning the gun on himself. Both the shooter and the 11-year-old died at the scene; Hollifeld is still hospitalized but is expected to recover. (Subscription: Gwinnettdailypost.com)
