Here are the top stories today in Loganville-Grayson:

  1. The parents of Elijah DeWitt, the 18-year-old Jefferson teen shot at the Sugarloaf Mills Dave & Buster's, has announced that they are filing a lawsuit against the company. The lawsuit also lists Sugarloaf Mills, Simon Property Group, and Allied Universal. The suit is being brought about because the family feels that the properties failed to provide adequate security and knew that the property was dangerous. They feel that no one should experience the pain that they are dealing with through with the loss of their son to gun violence. (WSB Atlanta)
  2. A letter, dated March 8, was written by the wife of Nathan Millard, requesting that the Louisiana State Police take over Millard's case. Amber Maughon, Millard's wife, has requested that the LSP begin investigating the death of her husband and that a second autopsy be performed. After Baton Rouge Police held a press conference suggesting that "no foul play" was involved in Millard's death, Maughon drafted the letter and sent it to multiple sources to request help. Millard was found wrapped in plastic and a rug in a vacant lot, and most people agree that some kind of foul play must have been involved since the body was relocated after Millard's death and not discovered for almost two weeks. Currently, the Baton Rouge Police is waiting to make any further comments until they receive the toxicology report. (Monroe Local)
  3. The family of Susana Morales has released additional details in the wake of the discovery of Morales' body by a creek in Gwinnett County. According to the family, Bryant was arrested after his gun was found near her body. It was also discovered that he was working security at the apartment complex where Susana was visiting her friend on the night of her disappearance. Multiple women have come forward to report that he stalked them and harassed them at the complex. A petition at Justice4Susana.com has been launched for a more thorough investigation into her death, and that a "fair and transparent investigation by Doraville Police" be completed. (WSB Atlanta)
  4. On Thursday, Georgia State Patrol Troopers were called to investigate a pedestrian accident in nearby Monroe. As the pedestrian was crossing the street, a motorcycle struck them at a high rate of speed, and the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The motorcycle driver was evading police and looking behind him when he hit the pedestrian. The driver was taken to Piedmont Walton Hospital with serious injuries. No names have been released for either party involved in the collision. (Monroe Local)
