Here are the top five stories in Loganville-Grayson today:
- Gwinnett County is seeking poll workers for the November election. The hiring event will be held on Saturday, Sep. 24, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Norcross Library Branch. Bilingual individuals are especially needed to work the polls. (On Common Ground News)
- The Gwinnett County Fair has kicked off this week at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds in Lawrenceville. Attendees can enjoy rides, games, exhibits, and entertainment such as BMX bike riding shows and acrobatic shows. A gallery of photos from the hours of enjoyment is available. (Gwinnettdailypost.com)
- A Gwinnett County woman with dementia has been missing since Sep. 7. Deborah Cope, 60, was last seen on Sep. 7. Cope, who is insulin-dependent, left her home on Hunters Club Lane in Norcross on foot without her cell phone, purse, or wallet. Click the link to see if you've seen Cope. (CBS 46 News)
- A man has been arrested in a Gwinnett hit-and-run that killed a woman on Wednesday. Ismael Perez of Norcross has been arrested on several charges in the death of a 66-year-old woman. Neighbors say it can be quite dangerous to walk down the road as people frequently speed there. ( The Atlanta Journal Constitution, Subscription)
- The Loganville Red Devils are currently 5-0. Last Friday, they won 27-14 over Winder-Barrow. This is the first time their record has been at 5-0 since 1990. Loganville will play Conyers, and a win there would bring them to 6-0 for the first time since 1974. (GPB)
