Gwinnett County SRO Hit by Vehicle

Officials from Gwinnett County Police Department report that a Gwinnett County School Resource Office was hit by a vehicle while involved in a foot chase with a suspect.

According to a press release, Gwinnett County Police and Gwinnett County Schools will issue statements and answer questions at 12:45 today at Gwinnett County Fire Station 23, regarding a Gwinnett County School Resource Officer who was hit by a car this morning. 

The SRO was reportedly involved in a foot chase with an offender when he was struck by a vehicle, officials said. The initial incident occurred at Meadowcreek High School. The suspect's vehicle was located and the suspect taken into custody. The SRO was transported to a hospital.
