The backside of an area home was completely burned through during a Sunday afternoon fire.
Gwinnett Fire said the Brook Park Trail house was a total loss. The fire occurred around 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

No one was injured by the fire, but Gwinnett Fire PIO Tommy Rutledge said one firefighter suffered a medical emergency at the scene was had taken to the hospital. The firefighter was expected to be released later Sunday.
Rutledge said the fire appears to have originated on the back deck and quickly spread to the attic. The exact cause is being investigated.
