Life Plus 25 Years Given in Slaying of Loganville Man

Fuad Abdulaziz Mohamud was found guilty of a 2010 murder that took place outside a gas station in Gwinnett County.

A man was found guilty Thursday (Oct. 17) for the 2010 murder of a Loganville man outside a gas station.

The Gwinnett Daily Post reports that Fuad Abdulaziz Mohamud, 24, was sentenced to life plus 25 years in prison. He was convicted of murder, felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

The case revolved around the killing of Deandre Perkins on July 21, 2010. Perkins was sitting in his car outside a Chevron station in Lawrenceville when Mohamud shot him in the chest. 

Perkins died a day later at the hospital.
