Loganville Humor Writer Lori Duff Releases New Book

Lori B. Duff, popular columnist, and humor writer and lawyer by day, follows up her hit book “Mismatched Shoes and Upside Down Pizza” with a new release, “The Armadillo, the Pickaxe, and the Laundry Basket,” a laugh out loud memoir about all the things in Lori’s life that don’t quite fit together the way you’d expect.

“The Armadillo, the Pickaxe, and the Laundry Basket” is a collection of funny essays which finds Lori wrestling armadillos; with eyeball stitches; fretting about which wine pairs best with crunchy Cheetos; unable to find a single acceptable pair of shorts for a ten year old girl in a store; and dealing with her husband’s multitude of injuries and illnesses while choking back a gag.

These misadventures and many more, along with rants, never before published “banned articles,” and a throwback to Lori’s very first award winning humor essay. You’ll find yourself howling with laughter while nodding your head in agreement.

“This is my life,” says Ms. Duff. “Just like you’d never expect to deal with an armadillo, a pickaxe, and a laundry basket all at the same time, most things in my life don’t quite go together. It is the unexpected that is funny, and nearly my entire life is unexpected.”
