  1. A 4-year-old boy was found Sunday morning, by crews searching Yellow River in Gwinnett County. The boy went missing Saturday afternoon while he and his mother visited Yellow River Park near Snellville. The boy's mother noticed her son was missing and saw him disappear into the river. A call to 911 indicated that they saw the child in the river, but he was not able to get out. Rescue crews, including Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, and Gwinnett County Emergency Management Agency. According to Gwinnett Fire Capt. Ryan McGiboney, "this was not the outcome everybody was hoping for," as the boy was discovered by the swift water rescue team at the edge of the river. (Atlanta Journal Constitution)
  2. A potentially deadly fungus has caused concern across the U.S. and has been found in 19 states, including Georgia. The fungus, Candida auris, or C. auris, is most commonly found in our most fragile population. The fungus can spread quickly through healthcare environments, including nursing homes. Most healthy people have nothing to fear, and the concern lies with those who may need a long-term stay in a healthcare facility. (WSBTV)
  3. A 21-year-old man was killed on Oak Vista Court in Lawrenceville early Saturday morning. Johnathan Wiley was shot to death, and found on the floor of his home at around 2 a.m. by his mother, Jessica Holsey. Holsey says her son was already dead when she found him with several gunshot wounds. The new format has experienced a huge jump in ratings climbing from the No.24 station at the end of last year, during the 100.5 tenure, to No.9 in the ratings at the end of February. The River, 97.1, still holds the top spot in Atlanta. The current 99X format features original DJ's Axel Lowe, Steve Barnes, and Leslie Fram in the mornings, and they are playing tunes from the 1980's to the early 2000's.
