- November marks one-year since Susan Head passed away from her injuries in a car crash where she hit a horse on a Loganville highway in front of Meridian Park. It also marks a year since Loganville police charged horse rider Fernande Esparza with involuntary manslaughter and reckless conduct following Head's death. Esparza is still at-large and investigators believe he may have left the state. Anyone with information about Esparza's whereabouts is asked to contact Loganville police. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- A brush fire occurred early Thanksgiving afternoon in Walton County. The brush fire began on Michael Road and eventually spread to a shed in the Gratis Community. The shed was a total loss. (Monroe Local News)
- Residents in nearby Lawrenceville will get the opportunity to meet with sole police chief finalist John Mullin on Monday, Nov. 28. Mullin has over 25 year of law enforcement experience, including with Fulton County and Sandy Springs — and, most recently, as head of Forsyth County's Code Compliance, Animal Control Services, and Park Rangers Division in June 2021. City officials are holding the meet-and-greet event at Cornerstone Coworking from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Mullin will be sworn in as the new police chef on Dec. 14. (Subscription: Gwinnettdailypost.com)
- Gas South District renovations are nearing completion. Renovations of the old ball room, convention halls, and the Gas South Theater started at the end of last year.
