New Items Perk Up Menus at Gwinnett County Schools

To keep the menus interesting and enticing, Gwinnett County Public Schools is introducing some new menu items for the 2013-14 school year.

New menu items:

• All new Signature Salads
• Fun Flat Wrap Sandwiches
• Vegetarian Black Bean Pizza
• Breakfast Sandwiches on Whole Grain and Everything Bagels
• Cheese-filled Mini Ravioli
• Mediterranean Falafel Dippers
• “Make Your Own Mexican Meal” featuring Enchiladas and Flautas
  
  Calzones with Zesty Marinara Sauce

By the numbers:

This school year 127 school cafeterias will offer breakfast daily, and 128 school cafeterias will serve lunch daily. Last school year GCPS served 21,178,474 student lunches and 10,881,345 student breakfasts.

• Student breakfast $1.50
• Student lunch (middle and high) $2.50
• Student breakfast (reduced) $0.30
• Student lunch (reduced) $0.40 
• Adult breakfast $1.75
