Obituary and Funeral Arrangements: W. Walter Thompson, 86, of Loganville

W. Walter Thompson, age 86 of Loganville, passed away at Abbey Hospice, Social Circle, GA , Saturday, July 20, 2013 after a long illness. Funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Monday, July 22, 2013 in the Loganville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Minister Don Hardison will officiate. Burial at Walnut Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. 

Walter Thompson formerly resided in Atlanta, Ga. He was born November 01,1926. He retired at a young age from Fannie Mae. He served in the Navy and Army Reserves. He was the son of the late John G. & Lessie H. Thompson. Mr Thompson was the youngest of ten children, all deceased. The siblings were as follow: Paul Stone, Hugh Lee, J.G., Clyde P, Mary T. McMichael, Howell ( Snook) and Alice T. Haynie. Surviving relatives include: nephew Hugh T. and wife Barbara Ann McMichael, Loganville, nieces Marianne Manor, Atlanta, Peggy Byrd and husband Neal, Loganville, Carolyn Jackson, Oxford, Billie Jean Bills and husband Harry, Auburn several great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM ,Sunday, July 21, 2013. at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 670 Tom Brewer Road, Loganville, Ga 30052. 770-574-4809.
