Here are the top stories in Loganville-Grayson today:

  1. Gwinnett County Police have arrested 25 people connected with violent gang activity around metro-Atlanta. After a year-long investigation into the "ongoing violence" between the "Blitxtz" and "56 Gang," and activities with the "Drug Rixh," a 210-count indictment has been handed down and all but one member has been arrested. The charges include violations of "Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations, violations of the gang act, and counts of malice murder, felony murder, and multiple counts of armed robbery, aggravated assaults" and other charges. Gwinnett County Police are continuing to work diligently to keep gangs out of the county. (WSB Atlanta)
  2. The City of Lawrenceville is hoping to open a new greenway trail in 2024. The plans for the new greenway project call for a trial, similar to Atlanta's Beltline but on a much smaller scale, will run along the abandoned CSX Railway and go a half mile from downtown Lawrenceville to Rhodes Jordan Park and link to that trail system. The project is being funded by the 2023 SPLOST and is estimated to cost about $500,000 to complete. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
