The Clemson graduate found the end zone in his pro debut after returning from a shoulder injury, capping a college career that placed him among Clemson’s top all-time rushers.
   

• Obituary and funeral service: Jerry L. Durden, 82, of Loganville (monroelocal.org) — Longtime Loganville resident Jerry L. Durden, 82, has passed away, with a memorial service set for Saturday, Jan. 24 at Corinth Christian Church on Highway 81 in Loganville. A U.S. Army/National Guard veteran and former Walton County Schools ParaPro, he helped launch Loganville Youth Basketball and was deeply involved in local church and youth sports life.
