• Antonio Thornton Jr savannah deadly shooting balloon release (fox5atlanta.com) — Loganville residents gathered at Baycreek Park for a balloon release honoring 17-year-old Antonio Thornton Jr., killed while visiting family in Savannah. About 70 people remembered the high school senior as his mother shared her grief, faith, and decision to forgive the teen now charged in his death.
   

• Sources: Ex-Wisconsin QB Billy Edwards Jr. to sign with UNC (espn.com) — Loganville football fans may recognize local standout quarterback Travis Burgess, who has signed with the University of North Carolina as a top-10 dual-threat prospect in the 2026 class. He’ll join a revamped Tar Heels offense alongside transfer quarterback Billy Edwards Jr., as new staff try to revive a unit that struggled badly last season.
