Marley Montaque disappeared last week. His family has since made contact with him.
DACULA, GA — A missing teen who disappeared last week is now "safe and found," according to a social-media page organized to find him.
"I found out yesterday that there has been some form of contact made with Marley. They are now considering him “safe and found”!" Melissa Olson posted Friday morning to the Help Find Marley Montaque Facebook page.
Peas In Their Pods, which helps locate missing children of color, confirmed the information to Patch.

"Thank you to everyone who was willing to stop what they were doing, specially with the times we are in, and help put forth the effort and willingness to help find Marley," Olsson wrote in the post. "I think one lesson I’ve learned from this is, no matter how big of a town you live in we can still get a small town feel when we all come together."
Montaque, 18, had been last seen July 9 at about 10 p.m. when he resigned from his job at a Wendy’s restaurant. He told his mother minutes later over the phone that he was still working.

According to a Gwinnett County Police incident report filed July 10, security-camera footage from the Montaque home showed the teenager loading four trash bags full of clothes and shoes into his car before he left for work.
Montaque’s father told Gwinnett police at the time that leaving like that would have been out of character.
