- Cleveland Rapper Q Money, 26, has been convicted for the ‘execution style’ murder of a friend in a DeKalb County home back in 2019. Q Money, who also goes by Qamar Williams, was found guilty of malice murder, two counts of felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm while convicting a felony. The motive for the killing, which was caught on security cameras, remains unknown. Q Money's sentence is still pending. (WSB Atlanta)
- The supply chain issues of 2022 will likely have a major impact on the prices of meat and other consumables throughout 2023. With the rising amount of natural disasters adding to the delays in the supply chain and other complications, experts are saying the cost of meat will increase as demand outstrips the ability to supply. Beef prices are expected to rise by at least 15 percent in 2023, and they may remain costly until as late as 2025.(Subscription: Gwinnettdailypost.com)
- A missing 13-year-old boy from Gwinnett County has been found safe thanks to Mattie's Call. Sean Joel Ayling went missing on Sep. 21. Mattie's Call, an alert issued for missing elderly and disabled people, was sent out immediately. Ayling has autism as well as ADHD. He was located in the Norcross area on Tuesday morning. - A perceptive neighbor saved the lives of seven people in Snellville during a fire early Monday morning. A neighbor noticed the flames before anyone in the house was aware of them. The neighbor went over to warn the residents, who then called emergency services. Although the house was severely damaged by the fire – which officials say was accidental – no one was injured.
