Star Student Athlete: Loganville-Grayson's Tripp Shines Off The Field

LOGANVILLE-GRAYSON, GA — We all know student athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.

Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?

Tripp Durant is an elementary school Class of 2022 graduate. In elementary, he remained on the Principal’s All A’s honor roll for three years consecutively. He is presently a sixth-grade student. He maintains high grades, studies Chinese as his foreign language selection and was selected to serve in a leadership role as a member of the school’s STEAM Council. All this while playing travel baseball for the largest local minority baseball organization in the Southeast, which requires him to travel from their developmental practices to games weekly year-round. Tripp has also played football and baseball in the same season while still maintaining straight A’s. Tripp’s day begins at 5 a.m. while many others are snoozing. He doesn’t complain and meets his daily 70-mile round trip commute to school with enthusiasm and a genuine commitment to academic and athletic excellence.
