Stuff the Bus at Walmart With School Supplies This Weekend

A school bus will be at Loganville and Monroe Walmart Aug. 10 and 11 to collect donated school supplies for Walton County students in need.

As students from Walton County prepare to return to school next week, many families will have difficulty finding the funds to send the children to school with the proper school supplies. In order to help these families, Communities in Schools of Walton County has teamed up with Walmart and F.I.S.H. to Stuff the Bus on Aug. 10 and 11.Β

Volunteers from the Walmart Distribution Center in Monroe will staff Β donation drives at the Walmart Supercenters in Monroe and Loganville from 10 a.m.Β to 7 p.m. onΒ both days. With Saturday being part of the statewide sales tax holiday, it will be a great way to stock up on some extra supplies for those in need.

A big yellow bus will be parked outside of the Walmart stores with volunteers to collect the supplies. They will then beΒ transported to FISH for distributionΒ to students who need them via the Communities In Schools Site Coordinators.
