The phones are ringing, tickets are selling, and volunteers in the city of Grayson are counting down the hours until they present one of the Southeast’s premier crew brew and music festivals! Residents from all around the state will soon flock to the suburban city for the 4th Annual Grayson Blues & Brews Craft Beer Festival and Concert, sponsored by Goose Island Beer Company, being held Saturday (Oct. 5) in Grayson City Park.
Attracting craft beer connoisseurs from around the Southeast, attendees will be offered the opportunity to sample some of the finest beers that Georgia-based breweries and national craft-breweries have to offer, including such favorites as Magic Hat, Highland Claw Hammer, Red Brick, Bells, Leinenkugel, Fat Tire, Terrapin and more. More than 110 different craft beers will be available for sampling, and with the People’s Choice award (offered to the favorite Georgia brew at the show), beer drinkers have the ability to honor a local beer. For two years, local brewer Red Hare has been a big winner… can they stand the test of time?
The event also will bring headliner The Sonny Moorman Group to the Blues Stage! Sonny is an accomplished, award-winning guitarist/songwriter who has been playing “real deal” blues, rock, blues rock and classic rock for years. His band, the Sonny Moorman Group, is one of the finest power trios in today’s blues scene. Sonny’s 2009 release “Just Plain Folks” received national accolades with a Best Blues Album/ Best Blues Song nomination, and his act is certainly hard to follow.

Along with Moorman, well-known local talent including Stephen Hendrix and “friends” featuring Stephen as well as Michael Hurwitz (of Music on Main Street Lilburn)will be performing, and as most know, you NEVER can tell what musicians may show up to “jam” at a Festival like this!
Tickets are going fast! General Admission tickets are $30 advance (includes beer and the concerts), and a limited number of VIP tickets are available at $45, including a tasting stein, commemorative t-shirt, table seating and beer delivery to your seat. Tickets are also available at the gate.
