  1. Three roads around the Town Green will be closed on Saturday, Sep. 3, beginning at 4 p.m. The closures are for the re-scheduled Groovin' on the Green concert, which will feature the band Purple Madness. The road closures will impact Pecan Street, Covington Street, and Broad Street. (City of Loganville - Government via Facebook)
  2. The Gwinnett Chamber has announced seven winners out of 100 finalists at the 2022 Moxie Awards, which is presented by Northside Hospital. This is the fifth year the Moxie Awards have been held and celebrates employers who champion women in business and individuals who have excelled as leaders, innovators, up-and-comers, and community engagers.   3. Loganville High School's Varsity Softball is celebrating its 12-5 win over George Walton! Brooklin Lippert led the offense going three for four with a double.   4. Pregnant people in Georgia may now use High Occupancy Vehicle or HOV lanes. This ruling comes after the state’s abortion law which now recognizes embryos and fetuses as persons with full rights. Fetuses and embryos are also included in Georgia population counts, and expecting parents can get a $3000 tax deduction for dependents on state taxes. (WABE 90.1 FM)
