Trip Elementary Student Wins Second Place in Jimmy Carter Education Competition

A first grader at Trip is among three winners in Gwinnett County Public Schools to place in the "Peanuts: Out World in a Nutshell" postcard competition.

A Trip Elementary student is among one of the three Gwinnett County Public Schools students to place in a postcard competition sponsored by the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site Education Program.

According to a news release from GCPS, first grader Natalie Moss won second place in “Peanuts: Our World in a Nutshell.”

Other winners in the competition include: Miriam Ortiz, 8th grade, Summerour Middle (1st place); and Ian Peng, 10th grade, North Gwinnett High (2nd place). 

These students were selected from 13,700 entries from across the state. The winners will be recognized by the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site Education Program for their art.
