Johnny's Pizza in Loganville held a ribbon cutting Tuesday for joining the Walton County Chamber of Commerce.

Owners Michael and Suzanne McLean snipped the red bow on the patio in front of the store with more than a dozen people in attendance. Loganville Mayor Dan Curry, Councilman Mark Kiddoo and Councilman Skip Baliles were among the crowd.

Johnny's Pizza re-opened in the city in January after the McLeans took over the restaurant last year during the summer. They completely remodeled the location with a huge patio and a large 5-by-9-foot projection screen for . The restaurant serves appetizers, New York-style pizza, salads, strombolis, wings, oven-baked subs, wraps, calzones and specials that are only at the Loganville location. The dough is made fresh on location, too.

Since it's the start of the school year, the pizza place also is involved in many of the area's school sports. They've had spirit nights and team parties, and they sponsor Loganville High, Loganville Christian Academy and Walnut Grove High football and other activities. Just last week Johnny's Pizza had Trinity Prep Spirit Night, they provided a team meal for LCA, and also host a fifth quarter after home games for Walnut Grove and Loganville where they can come in after the games and bring their fans.

Johnny's Pizza is located 4132 Atlanta Hwy., and their hours are Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to around 11 p.m. Delivery after 5 p.m. is also available by calling 678-691-8505.
