Walton County Parks and Recreation to Host MLB Pitch, Hit & Run

The competition will take place on April 19, 2013 in Loganville, Ga.

Once again Walton County Parks and Recreation will host MLB Pitch, Hit & Run. The competition will be held on April 19th at West Walton Park in Loganville. Registration for the event will begin at 5:30 and the competition will start promptly at 6 p.m.

  • The competition is free for all participants.
  • All boys and girls, ages 7-14, are welcome to participate (age control date of July 17, 2013)
  • Competition includes

        Pitching - throwing strikes to a designated target

        Hitting - Hit from a batting tee for distance and accuracy

        Run - Sprint from 2nd base to home plate for time

  • All participants must provide a copy of a birth certificate for age verification. Failure to provide proof of age may result in disqualification.
  • All participants must submit a signed registration/waiver form to the local administrator. You can come by the Athletic Office at Meridian Community Center to pre-register or fill out the registration form at the event.
  • There are four rounds of competition that a player may advance to. Champions from the Local Competition have the opportunity to advance to the Sectional Level, the Team Championship (Held at Turner Field in Atlanta) and the National Finals held during the MLB All - Star break at Citi Field, home of the New York Mets.
