WCSO Respond to Reports of Gunshots, Burglaries, Fraud and Dog Attack Complaints
Several false alarms also kept Walton County Sheriff's Deputies busy during the period March 7 - 10.

Walton County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls during the period March 7 - 10, 2013.
Zone 1
- Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Monroe Jersey Rd. @ Dean Hill Rd.
- Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Ammons Bridge Rd.
- Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on McKayla Court in Southern Oaks subdivision.
- Extra Patrol – Extra Patrol was requested on Monroe Jersey Rd., due to a motorcyclist speeding in the area.
- Animal Complaint – A canine on Pine View Rd. allegedly attacked a neighbor.
- Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm call on Regis Drive in St. Regis subdivision.
Zone 2
- Burglary – Ceiling fans and fixtures were taken from a vacant residence on Miranda Drive.
- Burglary – A vacant residence was entered on Miranda Drive.

- Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested due to unknown subjects walking around the area of Hwy 186 claiming to be census workers.
- Identity Theft – Unknown persons used a complainant’s identity to falsely file income taxes. The report was taken from the victim from Laboon Rd.
- Illegal Dumping – Subjects were involved in Illegal Dumping’s in Malcom Cemetery and Nunnally Shoals Rd. They were issued citations and instructed to clean up the trash.
Zone 4
- Drug Activity – Marijuana less than an ounce was recovered from a residence on Summerset Court in Summerset subdivision.
- Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm call on Belle Vista Rd. in Belle Woode subdivision. The residence was secure but had an unconfined canine on location.
- Missing Person – A 20 year old male was reported missing by his mother on Edmondson Rd.

- Harassment – A younger looking white male driving a black pick-up truck with red stripes was seen driving past a residence on Double Springs Church Rd. The vehicle was seen three times driving by the residence while “shooting a bird.”
- Damage to Property – A mailbox was damaged on Round Ridge Rd.
- Damage to Property – A mailbox was damaged on Round Ridge Rd. (2nd incident).
- Suspicious Vehicle – A green SUV was mud bogging on a property on Bay Creek Church Rd.
- Vehicle Accident – A vehicle accident occurred on Bold Springs Rd.
- Extra Patrol – Extra Patrol was requested on Shannon Rd. due to speeding vehicles in the area.
- Burglary – A residence on Mountain Creek Church Rd. was reportedly broken into and items were taken.
- Counterfeit – A subject on Waterford Drive received counterfeit money while at a yard sale.
- Damage to Property – A mailbox was damaged on Shannon Rd.
- Trespassing – Suspicious vehicles were reported on Etchison Rd. The vehicles were parked at an abandoned bank. The subjects were contacted by Walton County deputies and were issued a warning for Criminal Trespass to stay off the property.
- Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm call on Rambling Woods Drive in Rambling Woods subdivision.
- Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Bay Creek Church Rd. @ Old Zion Cemetery Rd.
Zone 6
- Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm call on Branchwood Court in Creekwood subdivision.
- Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm call on Oakwood Place in the Oaks at Grandview subdivision.
- Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Miller Bottom Rd. @ Flagstone Way.
- Damage to Property – Windows was busted out of a 1970 Blue Bird Storage bus at a property on Sunny Hill Drive.
- Suspicious Person – A black male, who stated he worked for AT&T, was in the Crestwood Trail area asking questions.
- Theft – An air conditioner was taken from a residence on Tuck Rd.
- Fire Assist – Walton County deputies assisted the Walton County Fire Department with a fully involved structure fire at a church on Rosebud Rd.
- Juvenile Problem – Juveniles were seen without helmets riding ATV’s in Yorkshire Estates on Yorkshire Court.
- Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm call on Fieldwood Lane in Hidden Creek subdivision.
- Gunfire – A report was made in reference to approximately 12 shots being heard in the Cevera Lakes subdivision.
Zone 7
- FYI – Twenty-five large tires were located in the back parking lot at Walnut Grove High School.
- Extra Patrol – A gate was found open at a residence on Travitine Trail in Stone Crest. Extra patrol requested.
- Fraud – A fraud report was made on Forest Hill Drive in Woodlake subdivision.
- Prowler Report – Several car alarms went off in Cambridge Chase subdivision on Cambridge way. A male subject was spotted running through a backyard. No autos were entered.
