Weekend Weather: Open Your Windows; Cooler Temps Expected

Are you ready for some fall weather?

North Georgia will get a break from the summer’s heat and humidity with much cooler temps this weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, highs will be in the 70s and lows in the 50s beginning Saturday. There’ll be plenty of sun, too.

Sounds like open-your-windows weather to us.

• Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 85. West wind around 5 mph.
• Friday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. West wind around 5 mph.
• Saturday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 77. West wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
• Saturday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 56. Northwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
• Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 73. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
• Sunday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 53.
