  1. On Saturday, three teenagers were shot and injured at a graduation party. According to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, the shooting took place at Pit Hookah & Lounge. All three victims are stable and have non-life-threatening injuries. As police continue to investigate the incident, they encourage anyone with information to contact the Sheriff's Office. (41 NBC News)
  2. Over the weekend, the Macon community came together in solidarity against the recent anti-Semitic displays throughout Bibb County. Last Friday, an anti-Semitic rally was held in front of Temple Beth Israel and organized by Jon Eugene Minadeo II, who was arrested for disorderly conduct and public disturbance. This was but one of many anti-Semitic events held in the area recently. The rally on Saturday drew hundreds to support the Jewish community, leaving residents feeling more hopeful about a more peaceful Bibb County future. (wgxa.tv)
  3. As part of the Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful initiative, the Parks and Beautification Department is working to add more trees to the community. Most recently, trees were planted along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, the first of many beautification initiatives planned for the area. Upcoming projects include planting more trees at bus stops, adding more seating to the area, improving sidewalks, and reducing traffic. (41 NBC News)
