Meet A Future Leader In Macon: Naiem Moore
Patch and T-Mobile have partnered to highlight young people achieving great things in our community.

The future of Macon is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Naiem Moore, who are making a positive impact in and around Macon.
Naiem, a student at Central High School in Macon, has emerged as a remarkable leader and advocate for his community despite facing significant personal challenges, including home displacement, food insecurity and the loss of a close friend to gun violence. His dedication to giving back was recognized with the 2024 Youth Leadership Award from the Coalition for Community Schools. Moore played a key role in the Safe at Home Project, a neighborhood revitalization effort in Pleasant Hill funded by a Macon Violence Prevention grant. As part of the project, he and a team of youth installed safety features such as doorbell cameras, floodlights and peepholes to help protect senior citizens’ homes from property crime.
Moore’s resilience and leadership were evident throughout the one-year initiative, where he motivated his peers to stay committed to their work and served as an inspiration to others. Despite personal hardships, Moore maintained an excellent GPA and continues to encourage his friends to focus on positive pursuits. His goal is to either secure a football scholarship or join the military as a carpentry specialist, using his skills to further serve his community.
