Here are the top three stories in Macon today:

  1. The Bibb County Sheriff's Office released surveillance pictures of three men who are wanted for attempting to steal an ATM from Macon gas station. Just before 2:00 a.m. on May 19, the three suspects used a rock to shatter the Texaco Food Mart glass door, located at 1212 Eisenhower Parkway. After an alarm went off, the suspects ran away without the ATM. (13WMAZ.com)
  2. On Saturday, May 20, there will be a water outage in parts of Macon from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. due to scheduled repairs. Crews will repair a water main at the intersection of Vineville Avenue and Ward Street, which will impact about 200 water customers and close two lanes on Vineville Avenue. (wgxa.tv)
  3. Macon residents near the Bloomfield Community Center are upset after hearing that the pool will be closed for a second year. Macon-Bibb officials said damage to a pump was too severe to fix before pool season. Many are concerned because the pool gives kids something to do in the summer and a safe place to hang out. Ann Pitts, who lives across the street from the pool, said the pool gives kids valuable skills including swimming, interacting with other children, and learning from others. (13WMAZ.com)
