Shooting Kills 3 In Central GA
Three people are dead after a weekend shooting in central Georgia, authorities say.
MACON, GA — A shooting killed three people Saturday night in the 500 block of Williams Street, the Bibb County Sheriff's Office said in a news release shared by the Macon Regional Crimestoppers on Monday.
Deputies responded around 10:30 p.m. to a local hospital after receiving reports that 27-year-old Quantayrias De’ Monte Townsend had been shot and was taken to the hospital in a personal car, authorities said. Townsend died of his injuries, authorities said.
Deputies were then called to Williams Street, where authorities said they found 21-year-old Brandon Devonta Thomas and 16-year-old Markell Bonner Jr. suffering from gunshot wounds. Chief Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley pronounced them both dead at the scene, authorities said.

Authorities have not released the circumstances that led to the deadly shooting or say if any suspects have been arrested.
